Our futuristic society has embraced the high-speed ways of the interwebs. As a response to the fast paced society, Amazon.com and other book retailers have begun to push e-readers such as the Kindle or Nook. Jetsonians enjoy the convenience of having books on their e-readers so they can read on the go. The sleek design is perfect and portable. Thousand page memoirs can even be kept in the e-reader. In addition to just reading books, e-readers have high speed internet access. This, however does not mean the end of books. Books are still prized possessions, and ancient ones still find their ways into Museums for the public to enjoy. Public Libraries still house some actual books, but Libraries and Archives have become more like museums. We have not forgotten our past of print, but we embrace the future technologies.
